Project YES

Project Y.E.S (Youth Excelling Scholastically) provides individual, small group, tutoring, and mentoring sessions. It is our belief that children are the arrows who needs to be pointed in the right direction. We are implementing the 21st Century Learning Center whcih will operate year-round. Students are provided homeworkassiatance/tutoring and remediation in numeracy and literacy.

SERVICES OFFERED

Tutorial Service- study skills and instruction leading to secondary education Academic Counseling- provides alternative information for secondary offering or institutions of higher education. Mentoring Service- during and after program youth/adult match for one-on-one interaction. Follow-Up Service- 12 months after the completion of the program to determine how students are progressing. Supportive Services- transportation will be provided and incentives to promote attendance and performance. Refreshments/ Activities- healthy snacks and participation in team interaction games. Personal and Career Counseling- learn how to prepare for job search, interviews, and resume/ preparation. Access to Technology- hands on computer skills training.

PROGRAMS OFFERED

Summer Feeding Program - this program is provided to students up to age 18 years with two meals a day for nine weeks. Summer Enrichment Program - in order to allow youth to be in a safe place students are no only serve two meals but they also participate in music, dance, art, cultural activities, and character development.
